Space X

Stalled in Space

"With NASA’s contract with Russia about to run out without a replacement spaceship ready, the US space agency is leaning on SpaceX to hurry up and deliver. CEO Elon Musk says everything is on schedule – but is it?

"Since the Space Shuttle program was scrapped in 2011, NASA has had no crewed spaceship capability, having to pay Roscosmos $80 million a seat to ferry astronauts to the International Space Station. SpaceX and Boeing were both contracted to develop a domestic alternative, but both the Crew Dragon and the Starliner have yet to get beyond the testing stage."

("What do you mean, electric cars aren't the way of the future?)
Anyone who reads this blog (I suppose it happens once a month or so;) ) must wonder why I mostly post news from RT. They probably are inclined to think I'm a Russian troll or something.

I think the above illustrates why.

For comparison, 50-100 years ago, all the intelligentsia around the world read major USA newspapers because it was obvious that USA was the up-and-coming power to deal with, and what happened here was important.

That's no longer true. That, to grossly oversimplify, is why I mostly turn to RT for daily news. Although I do read mainstream USA news every day, it is so blatantly false at worst and crudely misleading at best that it's like, well, it's like reading Sputnik or Pravda back in the 50s when the Soviets ran all the news.

USA, the new Soviet Russia. Russia, the new USA. FLip-flop... but nonetheless, the more things change, the more they stay the same.

Now that Russia has achieved, in the eyes of the other nations, global dominance relative to the USA, RT is starting to flex its more overt propaganda muscles and loading more BS than before.

Still, the truth mostly favors Russia, which is why RT isn't afraid to tell the truth, which is why I trust it far more than any major USA news source.
