Among Many Reasons Why I Am Severely Pessimistic About Both the USA and the World's Response to Covid-19...

...in a few words:

People everywhere seem to think that they are incapable of masking their faces against airborne pathogens unless a mask is manufactured for them or, at best, if instructions are delivered by media and enough renegades try it so that it becomes a... wait for it... choke on it... viral phenomenon.

We the people are SO conditioned to a) make money to b) buy things while c) doing what government/media tell us, that we appear incapable of doing anything responsible for ourselves as individuals, much less as communities, without being given E-Z color-coded abc instructions with a smooth shiny Fisher-Price user interface.

This wouldn't be so bad if the government/media we rely on were remotely competent and not so hopelessly corrupt that all they can do is blame each other rather than use their precious air time to deliver valid valuable information on preventing contagion in a way that keeps a minor disaster from becoming a major catastrophe.

But our government has devolved into a state of near uselessness.

American Dream
